What is PYC?
Pilipin@ Youth Conference is a three day event where BRIDGE invites about 100 high school students from all over Northern California to learn about Pilipin@ American history, cultural awareness, creative expression and different paths of higher education.
Who is eligible for PYC?
Any high school student from different races, gender, and sizes. We LOVE SKITTLES! You don’t have to be Pilipin@ to attend!

How much does it cost?
$25 will cover your shirt, hotel lodging, food for all 3 days, and awesome resources/workshops! If however a student cannot afford the fee, please contact Madel Soriano and/or Dale Maglalang at pyc2012@gmail.com for FEE WAIVERS!
When are applications due?
Applications are due on January 11, 2012! We have limited spots this year so sign up ASAP! Please visit www.pyc2012.com to download the application under the “Apply” tab!
I’m a COLLEGE STUDENT how do I get involved?! There are three ways!

#1 Be An Ate, Kuya, or Kuyate!
We are looking passionate and motivated Kuyas and Ates to lead Pamilyas this year! Each Ate and Kuya pair get about 7-8 high school students to mentor during Pamilya Times. Be a mentor and role model to high school students and make a difference in their lives! Applications are due on December 11, 2011!  Visitwww.pyc2012.com and click under the “Kuya/Ate” tab for the forms. PS. We highly encourage other college students from different colleges to also apply to be a Kuya/Ate, we mean ANYBODY (unemployed, community college, CSU, UC, Private etc.) We want counselors that come from different backgrounds so students will learn about various experiences from different people!
#2 Facilitate a Workshop
If you or your organization can facilitate a workshop for one of our workshop blocks then please apply!
